Enterprise AI agent comparison
Bewize vs OpenClaw Enterprise: compare the work, not just the control plane
Both address company-controlled operation of persistent agents. OpenClaw Enterprise develops an open-source control plane; Bewize combines managed agent operations with Roomcord, a shared work surface for people and agents.
At a glance
| Evaluation question | Bewize | OpenClaw Enterprise (OCE) |
|---|---|---|
| Core product | Bewize Hub manages company agents; Roomcord supports human-agent teamwork in shared rooms. | Open-source, vendor-neutral control plane for persistent agents in sensitive environments. |
| Deployment | Private cloud or data center, with company-controlled runtime placement, credentials, storage, and logs. | Self-hosted on customer infrastructure; local development and Kubernetes deployment paths are documented. |
| Governance | Tenant identities, lifecycle, policies, releases, secrets, schedules, and usage visibility. | Announces multi-tenancy, workload boundaries, lifecycle governance, auditability, and interchangeable harnesses, models, and sandboxes. |
| Collaboration | Persistent Roomcord rooms connect human decisions, shared context, and agent participation; compatible external agents can participate through A2A. | The launch emphasizes agent management and security; test its specific collaboration and context-sharing paths for your deployment. |
| Maturity | Ask to see the exact Bewize workflow and controls you need. | Announced September 29, 2026 for internal pilot workloads, with version 1.0 still in development. |
The overlap is real: private deployment, governance, and isolation are not exclusive Bewize claims. OCE sources: launch announcement and project README. Bewize: platform, Roomcord, and deployment. Reviewed September 30, 2026.
The distinction to test
OCE directly overlaps with Bewize Hub as an enterprise control plane. Its open-source code, interchangeable components, and Kubernetes path may appeal to teams that want to own and extend their platform. OCE is not merely a personal agent harness, and governance is not unique to Bewize.
Bewize also offers Roomcord: persistent shared rooms for people and agents to work with team context, requests, and decisions. This is a difference in product emphasis, not proof that OCE cannot support equivalent collaboration through its components or integrations.
Ask both platforms to demonstrate a marketing agent requesting release facts from an engineering agent while repository access remains bounded. Compare who sees the context, who approves consequential actions, what evidence remains, and which steps require custom work.
Where OCE is compelling
- Open-source, vendor-neutral control plane with interchangeable harness, model, and sandbox components.
- Documented self-hosted Kubernetes path for teams with existing cluster operations.
- Explicit internal-pilot maturity boundary: verify each required behavior against the version you deploy.
Common questions
Is either platform inherently more secure? No. Evaluate configured identity, isolation, permissions, secrets, logging, and recovery against the same threat model.
Does OCE lack multi-tenancy or governance? No. Its announcement explicitly describes both. Verify current implementation rather than assuming announced scope is a finished 1.0 release.
When should we evaluate Bewize? When managed agent operations must connect to ongoing human and multi-agent work in shared rooms.
When should we evaluate OCE? When an open-source, extensible control plane and ownership of its components matter most, while accounting for pilot-stage maturity and any collaboration layer required.
